These settings control the requesting of confirmation for file operations.

You may choose to enable or disable any of the Confirmations. You can decide whether you wish to be asked to confirm:

  • Copying a file
  • Deleting a file
  • Printing a file
  • Overwriting a file on the destination folder that has the same name as the one being transferred

When you are asked to confirm before overwriting a file, the size and last modified date of the file are displayed to help you decide. You are also given the choice of changing the name of the file that is being transferred to avoid overwriting the existing file.

Distinct suggests that you leave confirmation set for Delete operations and for overwriting, to avoid the inadvertent loss of files.
